Get involved
We're always looking for enthusiastic performers and volunteers to help keep us doing what we do best.

”PBT has always been an amazing experience. It's great for building confidence and making new friends and putting on a really fun show.”
- Aidan
Performers
We put on two full-scale performances a year, usually at the start of August.
Auditions
Auditions for both our young adult show and our youth show are on the same day. Prior to the auditions, you will be sent a registration pack which details the different roles available.
Children who wish to be in the Chorus of the Youth show do not need to audition, adults who wish to be in chorus of the Young Adult show will need to audition.
We do ask that everyone who wants to be involved does an audition, but this is just for the sake of casting the principal roles. Everyone who auditions will be offered a place in the cast, and you never know - you might find yourself with a bigger part than you expected!
The audition process is very relaxed, but if you're nervous there will be plenty of friendly faces around to encourage you and let you know what to expect.
Rehearsals
Rehearsals for the young adult show begin straight after auditions. We rehearse every day from 9am to 5pm, culminating in two performances at the end of the week.
After the young adult performances, rehearsals for the youth show begin. Again, rehearsals run from 9am to 5pm every day for the week, followed by two performances over the weekend.
Cost
The participation fee is £70, discounted to £60 if you register before 1st July.
This fee goes towards the hire of venues, staff, insurance and equipment needed to put on our fantastic shows. This includes costumes for the performances, however, we may ask for some basics to be provided, eg black trousers and shoes. A list of costume pieces we'd like you to bring will be provided in advance.
We want as many people to take part in PBT as possible, regardless of background. If you're concerned about the registration fee, please get in touch at enquiries@pbtheatricals.org and we'll be happy to discuss options with you.

”Performing with PB is a wonderful experience, and it's been incredibly rewarding to give back to the group by volunteering with my non-theatre skills.”

Volunteers
Want to get involved behind the scenes?
As a volunteer-led organisation, we know the value of having people on board who are passionate about making the arts accessible to young people.
Whether you are a whizz with a sewing machine, an expert prop-maker or you just fancy handing out some flyers, we want to hear from you!
We'd love to hear from potential volunteers with skills such as:
costumes
props
set design / construction
photography
web design
lighting
flyering
putting up posters
front of house for performances
any other area you may be knowledgeable in!
The time commitment and frequency are completely flexible making volunteering with us really easy to fit into your life.
