As well as our flagship production in August, our members get together for a weekend to perform a concert in the spring. We also host a range of workshops and socials for current and prospective members throughout the year.
2027 Season
Our 2027 summer show is Iolanthe, open to anyone over the age of 16.
Iolanthe is the flagship of our 2027 summer programme. One week of concentrated rehearsals will take us from auditions to performances!
This intriguing political drama pits that oldest of British institutions (and not susceptible to any improvement at all), the House of Lords, against the mystical fairies of Fairyland.
This Gilbert & Sullivan classic truly captures the magic of fairyland and contains some of their most well-known music, such as Tripping Hither, Loudly Let the Trumpets Bray and When all night long.
Rehearsals: 7th - 14th August 2027.
Performances: 14th and 15th August 2027. Venues to be confirmed.
Registrations will open in January 2027.
Our 2027 Spring Show is The Sorcerer, open to anyone over the age of 8.
The Sorcerer will be the focus of our ambitious Spring Show, where we will rehearse and perform in a single day.
A mysterious Sorcerer has secretly placed a love potion in the tea of all the villagers of Poverleigh, causing them all to fall in love with the wrong people.
This is one of Gilbert & Sullivan's lesser-known shows and this is a great opportunity to perform this rarely-performed gem!
Rehearsal and Performance: 3rd April 2027 at Hathersage Memorial Hall.
Registrations will open in autumn 2027.
