As well as our flagship production in August, our members get together for a weekend to perform a concert in the spring. We also host a range of workshops and socials for current and prospective members throughout the year.
2026 Season
Our 2026 summer show is The Gondoliers, open to anyone over the age of 16.

One of Gilbert and Sullivan’s most grandiose shows, The Gondoliers is the focus of our 2026 flagship summer programme. One week of concentrated rehearsals will take us from auditions to performances!
This intreguing political drama is set in georgeous Venice, where two Gondoliers have just been told that one of them is to succeed to the throne of the Island kingdom of Barataria. The problem is, no-one knows which brother it is!
This Gilbert & Sullivan classic truly captures the magic of Italy and contains some of Sullivan's best loved music, such as List and Learn, Try We Life Long, In a Contemplative Fashion and Take a Pair of Sparkling Eyes.
Auditions will be on Saturday 8th August 2026 at The Playhouse, Chapel-en-le-Frith.
Rehearsals: 8th - 15th August 2026 at The Playhouse, Chapel-en-le-Frith.
Performances: 15th August at The Playhouse, Chapel-en-le-Frith.
16th August at The Medway Centre, Bakewell.
Our 2026 spring production is The Mikado in Concert, open to anyone over the age of 8.
The Mikado is one of Gilbert & Sullivan's best known pieces, and contains their most memorable tunes including Three Little Maids, A More Humane Mikado, A Wand'ring Minstrel I and Here's a How-De-Do.
This ambitious concert version will be rehearsed and performed on the same day, Saturday 11th April, at Hathersage Memorial Hall.
Unfortunately registrations for people interested in being a principal role, and for those aged between 8-15, have closed, but you can still use this form to register if you are 16+ and wish to be in the chorus.
